Rear Knocking/Grinding Sarah Sonnier 6-27-08
We have a loud grinding/knocking noice that comes and goes in the rear left area of our 1988 Winnebago Chiefton. My husband's friend found a severely worn U-joint on the rear left drive shaft and they replaced it but the noise is just as bad now, if not worse. Any ideas?

It could be wheel bearings or brakes. Best thing to do is have the left rear wheel removed as soon as possible.
