I have a norcold refrigerator. Not sure of the model. The booklet I have covers 682, 683, 662 and 663. We used it last weekend for the first time. I did not turn it on before we left for 2 days camping.
It was cool when we arrived after a 3 hour drive to the location. I switched it from propane to the generator and it seem to get a little cooler over the next couple of hours. I switched it back to propane that evening when we retired.
It was much colder in the morning. The next day when we left it had refrozen food in the freezer but the frig part did not seems as cold as it should be.
Do I need to turn the unit on a day or two ahead of time ? How expensive is it to have it serviced or can I do it myself ? I am very mechanical.
I'm having the same problem the freezer get real cold. The The frig is not as cold as I think it should be.Does it just take time for the frig to get cold? Please let me know what you find out.
Freezer will get much colder faster then the lower section will. Turn on the unit at least 24 hrs before a trip to get the unit cold. Never put warm items in the unit and then turn it on. Get a fridge fan from someone like camper world. They do an amazing job keeping things cool in the fridge.
