My dads 98 taurus dohc se has no heat. I think it's the blend door actuator after reading this thread. I can't hear it while changing the temp on the panel. I also can't hear a difference in the blower when changing temps. I'm now trying to figure out how in the heck to get to the actuator. I read where its in the center, just right, behind the radio. I'm fixing to try pulling the radio/ac/heat thing from the dash. My haynes manual says to use a tool on each side to stick in the two holes on each side to slide it out. Strange thing, the manual does not specifically tell you how to get to the actuator. I read threads, that said dash removal is neccessary, but i'm hoping not. Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. It's stuck cold and it's fixing to start getting hot, so i'm in no big hurry. |
