Duo-Therm furnace Tom Dawson 5-4-08
Hello,
I have a 65900 series Duo-Therm furnace in a 1977 Nomad. The model #is 65925-023. I am having some problems. The pilot lights fine and stays lit, but the burners won't fire. When I turn the thermostat up, nothing happens, no clicking, nothing. It is blowing out cold air. I have taken apart the burner assembly and cleaned everything thouroughly. Not sure where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Tom

Hi Tom. More than likely it's the PC board. Remove the board and take it to an RV repair shop and have them test it. It could be a number of things but this is where I'd start. Good luck!

The older models will blow cold air for about 10 min. before heating up.

Mine is a 65920-001 in a '76 Skyline, and that is the way it works.
Duo-Therm furnace popping sounds jim 8-20-08
Terry trailer with Duo Therm Model 90030-813. 30K in 23.1K out orifice 52

Thermostat is bad. I am changing that but the real problem is a loud popping sound during operation. Sounds like combustion of propane pocket within burner. It happend every 30 or so minutes during the night. Not sure if it is associated with flame on or not. Doing more testing after I replace thermostate this evening. Seems to happen as sea level up to 10K feet.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Jim
