83 pace arrow oil pan.i have removed the trans.unbolted everything i need to but the pan seems to be catching on the oil pickup is that possible? do i have to jack up the motor for more clearance?please someone help-me...
You either have to jack up the motor or you can remove the crossmember that runs underneath the oil pan. Either one is quite the task and I don't envy you for the job ahead. The crossmember may actually be the lesser of two evils. Just remove the bolts out of both ends and then knock one end towards the rear. It should come right out after that.
